During the launch of 'Sadhana Saptah', Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed the urgent need to modernize civil services to achieve the vision of 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India) by 2047. He highlighted that governance should enhance the ease of living and quality of life for citizens. Modi reiterated the principle of 'Nagrik Devo Bhavah' (citizens are like gods), which aims to make public services more responsive to citizens' needs. He pointed out that reforms in administrative services should focus on changing the behavior of public servants from authority figures to duty-oriented individuals. The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of technology in public administration, stating that understanding and using technology effectively is essential for better decision-making. The 'Sadhana Saptah', organized by the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), is a significant initiative aimed at enhancing the skills and capabilities of civil servants, ensuring that governance remains transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric.
