Tejashwi Yadav (Leader of Opposition and working president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal) expressed serious concerns about the governance in Bihar, stating that the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has fallen into a state of 'limbo' as it prepares for the exit of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Yadav predicted Kumar's departure during the 2025 Assembly election campaign, asserting that internal dynamics within the NDA have led to this situation. He criticized the NDA for focusing on finding a new chief minister rather than addressing pressing issues, such as the alarming rise in crime, including a recent beheading in Araria and the rape of a minor in Jehanabad. Yadav pointed out that there have been no cabinet meetings for the past two months, indicating a significant governance failure. He refrained from speculating on who might succeed Kumar but emphasized that any new leader would lack a legitimate mandate, given the NDA's rise to power through alleged political manipulation. Yadav also called for unity among citizens to counter the divisive agenda of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
