The LPG carrier Green Asha successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz on April 3, following the earlier transit of Green Sanvi, which is expected to arrive at Dahej, Gujarat on April 7 with 46,655 metric tonnes of LPG. Currently, only one LPG vessel, Jag Vikram, remains in the region, awaiting further instructions from the Indian Navy for its transit. The shipping ministry's report indicates that 16 Indian vessels are operating in the Persian Gulf, with a notable presence of around 20,000 Indian seafarers in the wider Gulf region. Recent shipping activity includes the delivery of LPG by Jag Vasant to Kandla in Gujarat and Pine Gas to New Mangalore. As of April 5, 1,479 seafarers have been evacuated by various shipping companies, highlighting the ongoing maritime operations in the region.
