In a heartbreaking incident in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, a 29-year-old tech professional, Pratibha Wali, reportedly died by suicide after her 11-month-old son, Agasthya, drowned in a bucket of water at their home on April 1. The couple had been living in a rented house for four years. On the day of the incident, Pratibha was home with her son while her husband, Mahantesh Wali, an engineer, left for work. Upon returning in the evening, Mahantesh found no response from his wife and entered the house using a spare key. Tragically, he discovered Pratibha had hanged herself and their son was found lifeless on the bed. A letter written by Pratibha expressed her sorrow and inability to save her son. Additionally, an empty strip of tablets was found, suggesting she may have consumed them. While police suspect the child accidentally drowned, Mahantesh has raised concerns about the circumstances and is seeking legal action. Investigations are ongoing.
