In light of the upcoming protest organized by the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) on April 11, the Haryana Police have intensified security arrangements throughout the state. Director General of Police Ajay Singhal convened a high-level meeting with senior officials, including Additional Director General of Police (CID) Saurabh Singh and Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Sanjay Kumar, to discuss strategies for maintaining law and order. The DGP highlighted potential threats from anti-social elements aiming to disrupt the protest and stressed the importance of a comprehensive plan to ensure peace. Officers have been directed to activate intelligence networks, brief personnel adequately, and implement security measures at protest sites. Special attention will be given to traffic management and preventing disruptions at agricultural markets (mandis) during this critical procurement season. ADGP Sanjay Kumar called for heightened vigilance at sensitive locations, while ADGP Saurabh Singh emphasized the need for dialogue with farmers to ease tensions. Singhal reiterated that while peaceful protests are a democratic right, any attempts to disturb public order will be met with strict action.
