Akhilesh Kumar, a resident of Hajpura village in Ambedkar Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh, was stranded in Netanya, Israel, due to the ongoing conflict. After multiple failed attempts to return home, his wife, Kiran Devi, made an emotional appeal during a Janata Darshan event on March 25. District Magistrate Anupam Shukla promptly escalated the matter to the Uttar Pradesh government, which led to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directing officials to ensure Kumar's safe return. On March 28, the Indian Embassy in Israel was notified, and high-level coordination began with the Indian Ambassador in Tel Aviv and other officials. Due to airport closures in Israel, alternative arrangements were made, allowing Kumar to travel to Jordan and then return to India. He arrived in Mumbai on April 3 and was later flown to Lucknow, where he was reunited with his family. Kumar expressed deep gratitude for the support he received throughout the ordeal.
