Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state, Nigeria, is prioritizing education and youth development as part of a strategy to combat insecurity and foster growth. During a meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Mehmet Poroy, Fintiri highlighted that over 100 students from Adamawa are excelling in Turkey and expressed intentions to sponsor more students for education abroad. He announced the establishment of a School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship aimed at providing young people with practical skills. The Turkish ambassador reaffirmed Turkey's commitment to supporting Nigeria in addressing insecurity and aiding internally displaced persons. He also mentioned plans to set up an office in Abuja to strengthen development cooperation and improve vocational training programs across Nigeria. Fintiri assured the people of Adamawa of ongoing efforts to enhance security and reconnect Michika to the national electricity grid to stimulate socio-economic growth.
