In response to a tragic accident in Dindori town, Maharashtra, where nine family members lost their lives after their vehicle plunged into a 25-meter-deep well, the Nashik district administration has formed a five-member committee to investigate the incident. The committee, chaired by Abhijit Kadam, chief officer of the Sinnar municipal council, is required to submit its findings to district collector Ayush Prasad within a week. The panel will examine the circumstances surrounding the accident, including safety measures and administrative responsibilities. It will also recommend actions to prevent similar incidents in the future. Following the accident, an FIR was lodged against the well owner, Rajendra Raje, and the Dindori Nagar Panchayat has taken steps to close the water body. This incident has raised significant concerns regarding safety protocols during road construction in the area.
