Shane Lowry, a professional golfer from Jupiter, Florida, made headlines by achieving his fifth career hole-in-one during the third round of the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. The ace came on the par-3, 190-yard 6th hole, known as Juniper, putting him at 8-under par and tied for second place, four shots behind his friend Rory McIlroy. This hole-in-one marks Lowry's second of the year, having previously aced the second hole at the Texas Children's Houston Open. Lowry is recognized for making aces at some of golf's most prestigious venues, including the 16th hole at Augusta in 2016 and the 17th at TPC Sawgrass in 2022. The 6th hole at the Masters has seen a total of seven aces, with the last one prior to Lowry's being made by Corey Conners in 2021.
