The Election Commission of India has inaugurated a Control Command Centre in Kolkata, operational from today, to enhance surveillance during the West Bengal Assembly elections. The centre features 90 screens and is designed to monitor 152 Assembly Constituencies with 50,000 polling booths. Micro-Observers will oversee the screens 24/7, ensuring that any irregularities are promptly addressed.
