The Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco) has introduced a promotional offer to incentivise voter turnout ahead of the elections scheduled for April 9, 2026. Voters will be able to purchase 1 kg of Sabari ‘puttu’ powder for just ₹1 on April 10 and 11, provided they spend over ₹1,000 on non-subsidised items at Supplyco outlets. To qualify for this offer, voters must present proof of voting, demonstrated by the indelible ink mark on their finger. This initiative is part of a collaborative effort with the district administration and the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative of the Election Commission of India, aimed at enhancing electoral participation and awareness among citizens. Additionally, Supplyco is conducting Statewide Easter-Vishu fairs across its retail network, which will continue until April 14, to ensure the availability of essential commodities at subsidised prices during the festive season.
