The five-day Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) bootcamp began at JNN College of Engineering in Shivamogga, Karnataka, on April 6, 2026. Inaugurated by Ashish Tripathi, regional coordinator for the Innovation Cell of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the bootcamp aims to foster innovative thinking and entrepreneurship among students. Tripathi highlighted that innovation is crucial for addressing real-world problems and driving economic growth, urging students to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset. Nivedan Nempe, founder of Areca Tea Pvt. Ltd., encouraged participants to cultivate mental resilience to tackle challenges. The program, attended by over 200 students from various colleges, is part of a broader initiative by AICTE, which is conducting bootcamps at 30 centers across India.
