Tata Motors reported a 17% year-on-year (YoY) increase in total commercial vehicle (CV) sales, reaching 47,976 units in March 2026, up from 41,122 units in March 2025. This growth was fueled by a 14% rise in heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) sales, totaling 14,614 units, and a remarkable 31% increase in passenger carrier sales, amounting to 7,983 units. The company's total domestic CV sales also grew by 18% YoY to 45,825 units. In Q4 FY26, Tata Motors achieved total sales of 132,465 units, reflecting a 25% increase from 105,643 units in Q4 FY25. Girish Wagh, MD & CEO of Tata Motors, noted a recovery in demand following a subdued first half of the fiscal year, attributed to the rollout of GST 2.0 and improving freight activity. Despite ongoing geopolitical tensions affecting certain sectors, Tata Motors remains focused on customer-centric solutions and has expanded its product portfolio, launching new models and upgrading existing ones to meet safety standards.
