Kalvakuntla Kavitha, the president of Telangana Jagruthi, announced that the name Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is available for use as she prepares to launch her new political party later this month. The TRS, founded by her father K. Chandrashekhar Rao, was rebranded as Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) to pursue national ambitions. Kavitha criticized the BRS for being inactive and stated that her primary political battle would be against the Congress party, claiming support from BRS cadre. She has not finalized her constituency for the upcoming elections but mentioned potential options like Siddipet and Gajwel. Kavitha plans to unveil her party's agenda during the launch meeting, which will feature party leaders and Telangana movement activists, but no leaders from other parties will be invited. She expressed confidence in public support, particularly highlighting women's reservation as a significant opportunity. Additionally, she raised concerns regarding electoral representation, citing disparities in the number of elected representatives across states, arguing for a more equitable approach to constituency reorganization based on population.
