Former Minister K.C. Karuppannan stated that the AIADMK alliance will win more than 200 seats in the upcoming elections, driven by dissatisfaction with the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party. During a meeting with AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami in Erode district, Karuppannan highlighted that the DMK has failed to fulfill its election promises, leading to issues such as frequent power cuts and a rise in drug culture in Tamil Nadu. He criticized the DMK's handling of the Athikadavu-Avinashi project, claiming that only 10% of the work has been completed under their regime. Additionally, members of the Tamilaga Vivasayigal Sangam expressed their support for the AIADMK. Candidates from the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) also met with Palaniswami, expressing confidence in winning their respective constituencies and predicting that Palaniswami will become the Chief Minister.
