This electronic stick can detect venomous snakes from a distance of 100 meters and alerts users through vibrations. Farmers can use the stick by pressing an activation button, which triggers vibrations if a snake is detected nearby. Chauhan emphasized the importance of this device, noting the frequent snakebite accidents that occur when farmers work in fields, especially at night. With India facing a public health challenge from snakebites, the Kisan Mitra stick serves as a preventive measure, as timely medical treatment is often not accessible for those bitten by venomous snakes. This initiative reflects a commitment to improving safety for the agricultural community in rural areas.
