On Friday morning, a man threw a Molotov cocktail at the home of Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, in San Francisco, causing a fire to an exterior gate. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Following the attack, the suspect also made threats to burn down the OpenAI headquarters nearby. The San Francisco Police Department responded promptly, detaining the 20-year-old suspect within an hour of the incidents. OpenAI spokesperson Jamie Radice confirmed the events, stating that the company is cooperating with law enforcement during the investigation. The police reported that they arrived at the scene shortly after the initial attack and recognized the suspect from the earlier incident, leading to his arrest.
