Anant Ambani, the Executive Director of Reliance Industries, celebrated his birthday at Hathi Gaon, a settlement for elephants located on the outskirts of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The event was organized by the Hathi Gaon Vikas Samiti and featured a unique cake-cutting ceremony involving three elephants named Hathi Babu, Hathini Pushpa, and Hathini Chanda, who participated using their trunks. A lavish fruit buffet weighing approximately 3,000 kg was prepared for the elephants, consisting of bananas, apples, watermelons, and other seasonal fruits. The mahouts, who are the caretakers of the elephants, were also honored with ration kits, footwear, and clothing. The elephants were adorned in traditional Rajasthani style, and local authorities supported the event while ensuring visitors maintained a respectful distance from the animals. Hathi Gaon was established in 2010 by the Rajasthan government to provide structured housing for elephants and their mahout families. Anant Ambani is also known for founding Vantara, a significant wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
