In response to a surge in demand for auto LPG, Indian Oil Corporation (IndianOil) has ramped up its supply across Karnataka. This increase comes after the closure or partial shutdown of more than 300 private LPG dispensing stations in Bengaluru and other regions. Currently, IndianOil is catering to the fuel needs of auto rickshaws and LPG-powered vehicles through its network of 55 Auto LPG Dispensing Stations (ALDS) statewide. The average daily sales at these stations have risen to 59.53 metric tonnes (MT), compared to the previous three-month average of 43.4 MT. IndianOil has assured that it will maintain a seamless supply and equitable distribution of fuel, adhering to government directives, despite the increased demand on its infrastructure.
