On Thursday, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) arrested Shivam Singh, also known as Aryan, in Basti district, Uttar Pradesh. Singh was wanted in connection with a dacoity case registered at the Bikapur police station in Ayodhya district, for which a reward of ₹50,000 (approximately $600 USD) had been announced for his capture. During preliminary questioning, Singh admitted to being part of an organized crime gang involved in various criminal activities, including kidnapping, ransom, and theft since 2019. He has a significant criminal history, with at least 11 cases against him, including serious charges like attempted murder and extortion. Following his arrest, he was handed over to the Ayodhya police for further legal proceedings.
