The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is preparing to announce the Class 10 results for 2026, with the download link available at results.cbse.nic.in and cbse.gov.in. However, the board has decided not to release a toppers list this year to prevent unhealthy competition among students. In previous years, CBSE has shifted its focus from rank-wise lists to overall performance data. According to Sanyam Bhardwaj, the CBSE Examination Controller, the board will not prepare or declare a merit list for Class 10 and 12 exams. Instead, merit certificates will be issued to the top 0.1% of students who achieve the highest marks in their subjects, accessible via the DigiLocker app. The announcement will also include key statistics such as the overall pass percentage and region-wise results, highlighting top-performing districts across India based on student performance trends.
