In a tragic incident in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Dola Ajith Babu, a 21-year-old umpire, was stabbed to death following a dispute over a run-out decision during a local cricket match. The altercation began when players from two localities argued over the call. Although umpires, including Ajith Babu and his friend Budumuri Chiranjeevi, managed to defuse the situation on the field, tensions escalated after the match. Kanta Kishore, a spectator not directly involved in the game, allegedly called the umpires to a separate location under the pretense of resolving the dispute. During this meeting, Kishore attacked Ajith Babu with a knife, resulting in a fatal stab wound to the chest. Ajith Babu was rushed to Apollo Hospital, where he was declared dead. Chiranjeevi and another individual were also injured in the attack. Police have registered a murder case against Kishore, who is currently on the run, and a manhunt has been initiated to apprehend him.
