In a shocking incident, three men have been arrested for the murder of Orje Shoki, a 78-year-old Buddhist woman monk, in Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh, India. The suspects, identified as Gagan Sharma (23), Vishal (23), and Gaurav Sharma (20), were taken into custody following a thorough investigation by the police. Orje Shoki was discovered dead in a cave near Sarkidhar village nearly a month after her murder. The Mandi Superintendent of Police, Vinod Kumar, stated that the suspects are drug addicts who allegedly killed the monk to steal from her to fund their drug habits. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was established to look into the case, and over 50 suspects were interrogated, with DNA samples collected from several individuals. The police are currently working to apprehend two more suspects involved in the crime.
