The Madhya Pradesh High Court in Jabalpur announced that it will hear all petitions related to the 27% reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBCs) from April 27. A division bench led by Chief Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva emphasized that all parties must submit their documents three days prior to the hearings and that legal representatives must be present. The petitions include arguments both in favor of and against the OBC quota. Previously, the High Court had stayed the quota during initial hearings, prompting the state government and other parties to file Special Leave Petitions (SLPs) with the Supreme Court, which directed the matter back to the High Court for resolution. Senior advocates representing both sides discussed the urgency of the case, noting that the Supreme Court had requested a decision within three months, with one and a half months already elapsed. The court indicated that the hearings would commence daily at 12:30 PM and could be extended if required.
