Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. He urged the Union government to introduce a constitutional amendment to postpone delimitation for another 25 years, until 2051, and called for the immediate implementation of the women's reservation law passed in 2023. The failure of the bill is seen as a blow to the BJP, marking the first time in 12 years that a constitutional amendment proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government did not pass. Stalin emphasized the importance of unity among opposition parties and expressed confidence in electoral success against the BJP and its regional ally, the AIADMK, in the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
