The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the results for the Class 10 examinations of 2026, reporting a commendable pass percentage of 93.70%. Following the results, students who are dissatisfied with their scores will have the opportunity to photocopy, verify, or re-evaluate their answer books online after the second board exam, which is set to commence in mid-May 2026. This new two-exam system allows for a more structured approach to assessments, contrasting with previous years when results were released together in May. Among the top performers, 55,368 students scored 95% and above, while over 2.75 lakh students are categorized as high achievers. However, around 1.47 lakh students have been placed in the compartment category, giving them a chance to enhance their scores through supplementary exams. The results also highlighted regional performance, with Trivandrum and Vijayawada leading with a 99.79% pass rate each, followed by Chennai at 99.58%. The results reflect a consistent trend of high performance, particularly from southern regions, which have dominated the rankings in previous years.
