He faced a fine of nearly 39,000 Swiss francs (approximately $50,000) for document forgery after purchasing the certificate on social media. Fischer, who has been coaching the national team since 2015, has led Switzerland to significant achievements, including three Olympic appearances and three silver medals at the world championship. The Swiss Ice Hockey Federation has stated that they consider the matter closed, as Fischer is set to step down after the upcoming world championship next month.
