Lady's Wood, located in South Brent, South Devon, has been highlighted as one of the best places in the UK to see bluebells. Hiker Elise Spicer shared her experience of the tranquil 1.5 km circular walk, which takes about 30 minutes to complete, making it ideal for families and casual walkers. The area is known for its stunning bluebell blooms, particularly vibrant in mid- to late-spring. Elise emphasized the peaceful atmosphere, featuring a clear stream and flourishing wild garlic. The woodland is part of a nature reserve, described by the Devon Wildlife Trust as a gateway to the wild landscape of Dartmoor National Park. This reserve is home to bluebells and dormice, showcasing the beauty of the natural environment. Visitors can find the reserve by taking a minor road from South Brent towards Cheston/Wrangaton, with access just past Glazebrook Court. The presence of bluebells not only enhances the scenery but also supports local wildlife, attracting various pollinators, including bees and butterflies.
