Siddaramaiah highlighted the importance of engaging all states in discussions to ensure fairness and federal balance. Vijayan criticized the draft Delimitation Bill, 2026, suggesting that it fails to consider current population shares and could disadvantage states like Kerala, which have successfully implemented population control measures. He also expressed concerns about the timing of the proposal, linking it to ongoing elections and calling for the bill's withdrawal. The leaders collectively stressed the importance of independent women's reservation implementation, separate from delimitation or census-related issues.
