Tamim Iqbal, head of the ad hoc committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), announced the introduction of the 'Captains' Card' for 33 current and former captains of the national teams. This initiative aims to provide lifetime access to cricket venues and events, ensuring that captains are recognized and respected on matchdays. The card will serve as a pass for international matches, domestic competitions, and the Bangladesh Premier League, eliminating the need for captains to seek tickets. Additionally, the card will offer priority parking and smoother venue access. Beyond matchday privileges, the card will also provide health insurance coverage for retired captains, ensuring they receive medical support without hassle. Iqbal emphasized that this initiative is a small gesture of respect for those who have significantly contributed to Bangladesh cricket, with plans to expand its benefits in the future.
