The Srivaikuntam Assembly Constituency, located in Thoothukkudi district of Tamil Nadu, will participate in the upcoming 2026 Assembly elections. The Election Commission of India has announced a total of 12 candidates from various political parties, including Shanmuganathan SP from the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and Oorvasi Amirtharaj S from the Indian National Congress (INC). The constituency has 2,12,885 voters, comprising 1,05,099 men and 1,07,782 women, and boasts an overall literacy rate of 86.52% as per the 2011 Census. Voting is set for April 23, 2026, with the counting of votes scheduled for May 4, 2026. In the previous 2021 elections, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-led Secular Progressive Alliance won a significant majority, securing 159 out of 234 seats in the Tamil Nadu Assembly.
