The Colorado athletic department has received a transformative $6 million donation from Jeff Crawford and his wife, Orsi, through the Crawford Family Foundation. This unprecedented gift aims to enhance the department's visibility and support its future. Half of the donation will be allocated to the George Family Athletic Director's Fund, which assists in various aspects of college athletics, including coaching resources and roster retention. Athletic Director Fernando Lovo expressed gratitude for the Crawfords' ongoing commitment to CU athletics, emphasizing the positive impact this funding will have on student-athletes and the program's success. The remaining funds will support the Crawford Family WHOLE Student-Athlete Program, which focuses on wellness, academics, leadership, and life skills beyond sports. Since its inception in 2021, this program has become essential to CU's athlete development strategy, demonstrating the critical role of financial investments in the evolving landscape of college athletics.
