On Thursday, a SpiceJet B737-700 aircraft collided with a stationary Akasa Air flight at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, causing damage to both planes. The right wing of the SpiceJet aircraft and the left-hand horizontal stabiliser of the Akasa Air plane were affected. Fortunately, all passengers on the Akasa flight, which was operating as QP 1406 from Delhi to Hyderabad, were safe and disembarked without injury. The airline's ground teams are arranging alternative travel for the affected passengers. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has not yet commented on the incident. This collision follows a similar occurrence on February 3, when an IndiGo aircraft made contact with an Air India plane in Mumbai, highlighting ongoing safety concerns in the aviation sector.
