Kamden Lopati, a four-star quarterback from West Valley City, Utah, has committed to the Michigan Wolverines for the 2027 recruiting class. Standing at 6-foot-3 and 228 pounds, Lopati is ranked as the No. 9 quarterback in the 2027 Rivals Industry Rankings and is noted as the No. 1 quarterback by ESPN. His commitment comes after a brief decommitment from Illinois, with Michigan emerging as a strong contender due to the close relationship he developed with the coaching staff, which includes head coach Kyle Whittingham and offensive coordinator Jason Beck. In his junior season, Lopati showcased his skills by completing 114 of 176 passes for 2,671 yards, along with 34 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. He also rushed for 730 yards and 10 touchdowns. Lopati is scheduled for an official visit to Michigan on June 19 during Victor’s Weekend.
