A Panchkula court has rejected Yash Bindal's interim bail application in connection with a ₹72 crore embezzlement case involving the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP). Bindal, who is currently incarcerated in Central Jail, Ambala, sought bail for four months to care for his wife, who is suffering from a serious gynaecological condition requiring a hysterectomy scheduled for April 15. However, the court found no compelling evidence to justify his release, noting that the prosecution did not provide verification of other family members' availability to assist his wife. Additionally, the court highlighted the lack of medical documentation to establish the urgency of her condition. Bindal has been in custody since July 12, 2025, and his prior bail requests have been denied by the Panchkula court, the Punjab and Haryana High Court, and the Supreme Court. The court's decision emphasized that Bindal's adult son could support his wife during her medical treatment.
