Savita Pradhan's life story is one of resilience and determination. Born into a poor Adivasi family in Madai village, Narmadapuram district, Madhya Pradesh, she faced immense challenges after being married at 16. Enduring years of harassment, she made the courageous decision to leave her abusive home with her two sons, Atharva and Yajus. With limited resources, she found work at a beauty parlour and returned to her studies, ultimately preparing for the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) examination. Her hard work paid off when she passed the exam twice, first entering the police service and later securing a place in the Madhya Pradesh Administrative Service with an impressive rank of 83rd statewide. Currently, she serves as the Commissioner of the Singrauli Municipal Corporation. Savita has clarified that she is a PCS officer, not an IAS officer, and values honesty in her achievements. Her journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and integrity, inspiring many within the administrative circles of Madhya Pradesh.
