However, a 2-1 victory against England at home provided some positives. The PCB aims for continuity in leadership, especially with Sarfaraz and Masood sharing a strong rapport. The proposal to appoint Mike Hesson as an all-format head coach was rejected by the PCB's Board of Governors. Pakistan is set to play three Test series in this cycle, with the squad for the Bangladesh tour to be announced soon, potentially including young opener Azan Awais.
