The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced a zero-tolerance policy to combat malpractices in examinations by implementing AI-based surveillance. This initiative follows Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's directive for conducting cheating-free exams. The UPESSC, responsible for recruiting for various administrative and civil service positions in Uttar Pradesh, aims to enhance transparency and restore confidence in its recruitment process. A new Integrated Control Room has been established at the commission's headquarters, equipped with high-quality screens and AI-enabled cameras for real-time monitoring of examination centres. Chairman Prashant Kumar, a former director general of police, stated that this transition to a technology-driven framework will eliminate human error and manual interference, ensuring fairness in the selection process. He warned that any attempts to use unfair means would result in strict legal consequences, urging candidates to focus on their preparations without being misled by rumors.
