Veteran actress Mumtaz honored the late Asha Bhosle, a legendary singer, by sharing a heartfelt video from her funeral on Instagram. In her tribute, Mumtaz reflected on the profound nature of personal relationships, stating, "Not every relationship, not every love, is meant for the world to witness." Asha Bhosle, who passed away at 92 in Mumbai, was a significant figure in Indian music, known for her contributions to numerous songs, many of which were featured in films starring Mumtaz, such as “Bindiya Chamkegi” and “Jai Jai Shiv Shankar.” Bhosle's career began in 1943 with the Marathi drama ‘Majha Bal,’ and she became famous for hits like ‘Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko’ and ‘O Haseena Zulfonwale Jane Jahan.’ Mumtaz, who debuted at age 11, became a leading actress in the industry, known for her roles in films like “Do Raaste” and “Hare Rama Hare Krishna.” After a 13-year sabbatical, she made her last film appearance in 1990 with “Aandhiyan.” Mumtaz married businessman Mayur Madhvani in 1974 and has two daughters, one of whom is married to actor Fardeen Khan.
