Last week, the combined market capitalization of eight of India's top ten most valued firms surged by ₹1,87,497.45 crore. Bharti Airtel emerged as the biggest winner, with its market valuation increasing by ₹58,831.52 crore, bringing its total to ₹11,25,125.21 crore. The BSE benchmark Sensex recorded a gain of 943.29 points (1.21%), while the NSE Nifty climbed 302.95 points (1.25%). Market analysts attribute the positive trend to easing geopolitical tensions and improving risk sentiment, particularly optimism surrounding a potential US-Iran peace agreement. Other notable gainers included Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), which added ₹27,608.62 crore to reach ₹5,32,691.31 crore, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which increased by ₹20,731.64 crore to ₹9,34,063.56 crore. However, HDFC Bank's market capitalization fell by ₹16,163.04 crore to ₹12,31,315.53 crore, and Bajaj Finance's valuation decreased by ₹9,769.3 crore to ₹5,65,437.17 crore.
