This move is retroactive to April 16. McKinstry left Wednesday night's game against the Kansas City Royals after colliding with player Jac Caglianone. Lee, who was acquired in an August 2023 trade that sent starting pitcher Michael Lorenzen to the Philadelphia Phillies, is poised to make his major-league debut. In 2025, Lee played the entire season in Toledo, recording a batting average of .243 with 14 home runs and 61 RBIs, along with 22 stolen bases. However, he has struggled at the start of the current season, hitting only .154 in six games. He is ranked as the No. 6 prospect in the Tigers' organization according to MLB Pipeline.
