Punjab Police have successfully dismantled a terror module linked to Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) with the arrest of Sagar Singh, a resident of Galluwal in Amritsar. The operation, conducted by the special operations cells of Amritsar and Mohali, led to the recovery of four hand grenades and two foreign-made pistols along with ammunition. According to Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav, Singh was acting under the guidance of foreign handlers and had connections to a terror module involved in a grenade attack in Chandigarh. The police operation was launched based on credible intelligence regarding arms and explosives smuggled from Pakistan. Singh reportedly made contact with his handler through social media in January 2026 and was involved in retrieving and delivering arms for payment. Previously, he had been arrested in February 2026 but resumed his activities after securing bail in March. Ongoing investigations aim to track down other members of the module and their international connections.
