In a significant crackdown on cybercrime, the Bundi police in Rajasthan arrested two individuals, Parmanand (25) and Shaifi Adnan (23), under the 'Mule Hunter' campaign. This initiative aims to address the rising incidents of online fraud. The police's investigation revealed that Parmanand fraudulently received ₹33,339 (approximately $400 USD) from a complainant in Murshidabad, West Bengal, while also allegedly defrauding another individual in Pune, Maharashtra, for amounts of ₹9,630 and ₹13,890 (approximately $115 and $165 USD, respectively). Shaifi Adnan was also implicated, having received ₹9,630 in his account. The police action was guided by Superintendent of Police Avneesh Kumar Sharma and involved the analysis of suspected mule accounts. The authorities seized two mobile phones used in the fraud and are continuing their investigation to identify other potential links in the fraud ring.
