District Childline Coordinator Ramnaryan Gurjar and case worker Archana Meena acted promptly, rescuing the girl and another 16-year-old girl who was also at risk. Child marriages are illegal under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, yet they continue to occur, particularly among certain communities in Rajasthan. The Bundi district administration has established a monitoring mechanism and a dedicated Child Marriage Control Room to address this issue. Recent judicial interventions have also halted several child marriages, demonstrating a concerted effort to protect children's rights in the area.
