The newly established Queen Elizabeth Trust will offer grants to UK communities to develop and rejuvenate shared spaces, fostering engagement among residents. Launched on Queen Elizabeth II's birthday, the Trust is chaired by Sir Damon Buffini, who expressed his commitment to enhancing community life. He emphasized the charity's ambition to significantly increase its impact by attracting additional support. The Queen Elizabeth Memorial Committee, which took two years to engage with various groups across the UK, initiated this project. Lord Janvrin, chair of the committee, hopes the charity will inspire people to remember the late Queen's dedication to community engagement. Alongside the Trust, two other projects will honor her legacy: the National Memorial landmark and gardens in St James’s Park, and a Digital Memorial tribute to her life and service.
