On April 14, 2026, Ukraine launched the 'Ukraine Education Hub' in India, spearheaded by the Indo-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IUCCI). This initiative aims to help Indian students navigate higher education opportunities in Ukraine, which had been disrupted due to the conflict. Ukraine's Ambassador to India, Oleksandr Polishchuk, emphasized that the hub will enhance accessibility and transparency in the education system, serving as a bridge between institutions and prospective students. Prior to the conflict, more than 20,000 Indian students were studying in Ukraine, primarily in medical programs. The hub seeks to restore confidence among these students by providing essential information about universities and admission processes. Additionally, it aims to foster academic partnerships between Indian and Ukrainian institutions. Safety measures, including equipped shelters, are in place at universities to ensure a secure learning environment. The launch coincided with Baisakhi, symbolizing renewal, and reflects Ukraine's commitment to rebuilding educational ties with India.
