On Saturday morning, a tragic accident occurred near the Kharegaon toll plaza in Kalwa, Maharashtra, India, when a container truck collided with a motorcycle carrying a newlywed couple, Kalpesh Revale and Minakshi Revale Karande, both aged 30. The couple was returning to Bhandup after visiting Kalpesh's unwell mother in Dombivli when the incident took place around 7:15 am on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway. After the collision, both riders were critically injured and rushed to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa, where they were pronounced dead on arrival. The police quickly traced the container truck driver, Shivkumar Singh, aged 41, and issued him a notice under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. An FIR has been filed against Singh under sections related to causing death by negligence and rash driving, based on a complaint from Bhavesh Patil, a colleague of Kalpesh.
