India and Germany are set to strengthen their cooperation in several key areas including defence, green hydrogen, and critical technologies. This decision was made during foreign office consultations held in Berlin, co-chaired by Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and German State Secretary Géza Andreas von Geyr. The discussions also addressed pressing global issues such as the West Asia conflict and the Russia-Ukraine war. Both sides reviewed their bilateral relations, focusing on trade, security, technology, and sustainable development. They agreed to diversify collaboration in emerging technologies, digital governance, and renewable energy. Misri's visit, which included meetings with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul and interactions with German policymakers, is part of a broader effort to advance cooperation ahead of upcoming inter-governmental consultations later this year.
