The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced an extension for the submission of the photo verification certificate for candidates of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG. Originally set for April 14, 2026, the new deadline is April 16, 2026, allowing candidates more time to resolve issues related to photo mismatches in their application forms. This extension particularly benefits those who registered using identity proof other than the Aadhaar card, as discrepancies were noted between the live photos taken during verification and the records held by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Affected candidates must upload a signed and attested certificate, along with a recent photograph certified by their school or college principal, or by a Class-I Gazetted Officer if the principal is unavailable. It is essential for candidates to bring these documents for physical verification on the examination day. The CUET UG exams are scheduled to take place from May 11 to May 31, 2026, and candidates are encouraged to complete the verification process promptly to avoid technical issues.
