The incident took place at Y Traeth stadium during a game between Trearddur Bay and Porthmadog, and footage of the altercation has circulated on social media. North Wales Police are actively investigating the matter and have appealed for witnesses, particularly the individual who filmed the incident. District Inspector Iwan Jones emphasized the importance of not speculating about the case, as it could have legal repercussions. Following an emergency committee meeting, Trearddur Bay FC has released player Tom Taylor and pledged full cooperation with ongoing investigations. The Football Association of Wales (FAW) has also suspended Taylor from all football-related activities pending the investigation's outcome. Meanwhile, Porthmadog FC reported that player Danny Brookwell is recovering at home after suffering a concussion during the incident.
